Fellowship Trained in Robotic, Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery
Dr. Kamyar Ebrahimi is the first and only fellowship trained surgeon in the field of minimally invasive urology currently practicing in Glendale, California. Dr. Ebrahimi specializes in treating all urologic conditions using the latest techniques, including da Vinci robot assisted surgery, and has the most experience in performing Robotically Assisted Radical Prostatectomy at Glendale Adventist Medical Center.
After finishing his Bachelor’s and post- Baccalaureate work at UCLA with summa cum laude, Dr. Ebrahimi attended medical school at UC San Diego, one of the most prestigious institutes for medicine, which has been perennially ranked as one of the top 20 medical schools in the United States by U.S. News and World Report.
Dr. Ebrahimi completed his formative residency in urology at Loma Linda University, which is known as one of the top urologic research institutes in United States. There in addition to being part of the urology faculty, Dr. Ebrahimi also completed his fellowship in Endourology, with emphasis on robotic, laparoscopic, minimally invasive urologic surgery and comprehensive stone therapies.
As a member of the American Urological Association, Dr. Ebrahimi has made it a priority on making sure he persistently educates himself on the latest and most advanced procedures and treatments in Urology, including nerve sparing da Vinci robot assisted radical prostatectomy.
In addition to research in minimization of radiation exposure during urologic surgery, Dr. Ebrahimi’s key areas of interest are high risk prostate cancer, improvements in urologic stone surgery, and robotic surgery in urology. Dr. Ebrahimi continues to be active in urologic research, and has co-authored multiple articles in the field.
